“Little People” is a project of street art and photography was born in London in 2006 by Slinkachu. Poetic, hand made, really beautiful, it’s tiny underground installations where everyday people carry the sets describing the urban scene.
The Little People are born with the desire to reflect and to reflect on the feeling of loneliness and melancholy that can be generated living in a big city : looking at the skyscrapers that make up the typical landscape of a metropolis, I challenge any of us to feel larger than these thumbnails. But always with a backdrop of humor and empathy that allows us to identify with the characters.
Another good project is “The Inner City Snails”; snails are decorated and then left free to continue their work around London: a satire of street art and our desire to cover every surface with graffiti, symbols, advertising.
Also, the Little People have been collected in a book that contains the most beautiful photo set, “Little People in the City: The Street Art of Slinkachu”.
