Denis Zilber is a freelance illustrator and animator who is based in Tel-Aviv, Israel.
He studied at Betzalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem before beginning his career as a graphic designer and illustrator.
Denis work mostly digitally, incorporating traditional media techniques. His cartoon-style characters, well-designed forms and colors are created with Painter, Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash.
He enjoy exaggerated characters, ideas and shapes within his work, and pushing things as far as he can, adding grotesque aspects wherever possible.
He put a very special emphasis on lighting and color because these are the things that make 2D images come alive: this is the essence of his illustration style.
Sinister caricatures or romantic heroes, pastel colors or dramatic lights. There is no middle ground for Zilber!
